Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today I’d like to focus on one of my own weak spots when it comes to stories, and that is friendship. Because as much as I love a good romance, I think it’s equally important for a story to have great, epic friendships.

Great friendships can carry a story and warm the heart just as well, if not more so than a romance can. They are so important and usually books that feature friendships turn out to be some of my all time favorites. So that’s why today’s post features some of my favorite fictional BFF’s and friend groups. Let me know if you have any other recommendation for books featuring friendships!

Villains You Just Can’t Help But Root For {Top Ten Tuesday}

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about villains! Now, I did  a post on my favorite villains a while back, so today I thought I’d highlight some of those villains that I love so much that I’m also kind of rooting for them to win. To me, the best villains are those that are delightfully morally gray, the ones that you can even understand and get where they are coming from. The ones you just want to hug and see luck be on their side. The ones who deserve to be loved, achieve success and get that win!

So without further ado, I present to you my top ten villains to root for from books, movies and TV:

WHAT IT’S ABOUT:

Victor and Eli started out as college roommates—brilliant, arrogant, lonely boys who recognized the same sharpness and ambition in each other. In their senior year, a shared research interest in adrenaline, near-death experiences, and seemingly supernatural events reveals an intriguing possibility: that under the right conditions, someone could develop extraordinary abilities. But when their thesis moves from the academic to the experimental, things go horribly wrong.

Ten years later, Victor breaks out of prison, determined to catch up to his old friend (now foe), aided by a young girl whose reserved nature obscures a stunning ability. Meanwhile, Eli is on a mission to eradicate every other super-powered person that he can find—aside from his sidekick, an enigmatic woman with an unbreakable will. Armed with terrible power on both sides, driven by the memory of betrayal and loss, the archnemeses have set a course for revenge—but who will be left alive at the end?

August 2018: The Month of Villains, Gumihos & Loving Yourself {Monthly Wrap Up}

August 2018 Wrap Up

Hi everybody, and welcome to my August wrap up!

August has been good – the weather has cooled off and the month has seemed to fly by faster because of it. I did manage to read a few good books, but highlights this month definitely happened on the music and movie front (Gee, what could it be? This is not predictable AT ALL…) Oh, and I got accepted for my first blog tour for one of my favorite authors so I’m pretty pleased overall <3

Vicious by V.E. Schwab {Quote It Wednesday}

Vicious by V.E. Schwab

Hi everybody and welcome to a new Quote It Wednesday!

Today’s quote is from the book I am currently reading, which is Vicious by V.E. Schwab. Vicious is a great tale about superpowers, heroes and villains, but mostly about how the difference between the two isn’t always that big or even obvious. I’m really loving it, so I decided to feature it in this week’s post.

It also helps that it gives me major Halloween vibe and I for one am already counting down the days until then 🙂

What do you think about the quote?
Are you already in that halloween mood?

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about that TBR again. More specifically, the books that have been marked as to read for the longest time and guess what? I still haven’t read them.

Thankfully Goodreads keeps perfect track of all of it so it was quite easy to compile this list. Though I did not just take the oldest books, as my TBR is in dire need of updating and some books I don’t even know what they are about anymore or some books are just not my taste anymore. And honestly, some classics have been on my TBR the longest but I’m not sure I’ll ever be in the mood to get to them.

So instead, these are the books that have been on my TBR for the longest AND I still feel like I really want to read someday soon.

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about our bookish wishes for the Holiday season! Now, obviously the biggest joy about the Holidays is spending time with family and loved ones (well, it may not be for everybody, but I actually do love family gatherings. Mostly.) and soaking up the festive atmosphere. But I can’t deny that getting presents is also part of the fun. Bookish presents especially. I’m actually pretty easy to shop for since I make my wishlist months in advance *oops*.  So here are a few of the books that are on this years’ wishlist for Santa!

Hi guys, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday. Today’s Top Ten is about all the books I wouldn’t mind Santa leaving under my tree. Though, honestly, these are not ALL the books… In fact, I actually have a Holiday wishlist of about 50 books. And basically nothing else. Clothes? Meh. Food? Close. But books? Yes, please! (Of course, just spending time with my loved ones is a pretty cool aspect about the holidays as well)

Anyway, these are the 10 books for which I’m crossing my fingers the hardest. These are the 10 books I am craving the most and would be super thrilled to see under my tree. In no particular order:
