Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about those authors I read for the very first time in 2018. And I must say, while compiling this list it came to my attention that I greatly enjoyed EVERY SINGLE ONE of these books! So it was definitely worth it to try some new authors, even though it usually scares me just a little bit.

For sure that’s a sign to keep on trying new authors because you never know when you could discover your new favorite!

Here are all the new-to-me authors I read in 2018:

A new year is here, which means… new book releases!! There are so many to be excited for, though for me one definitely stands out from all the rest. I’ll give you a few hints: Privateer, Fox, Royalty and Sass. Ring any bells? 🙂 (It’s King of Scars, cause Nikolai Lantsov is the best…)

But luckily, that’s not the only book to be excited about this year! Here are my most anticipated releases for the first half of 2019:

Baby, It’s Cold Outside (So I’m Staying In Reading, Duh) — My Winter TBR {Top Ten Tuesday}

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Let’s be real for a minute: winter is not my favorite time of the year. In fact, I’m one of those people who wish they could just hole up inside of the house for the duration of winter. Or go somewhere sunnier. Anything to escape winter, which has everything I strongly dislike: freezing temperatures that leave me in a perpetual state of chill and feeling like I’ll never ever feel warm again (#dramaqueen), having to get up even earlier to scrape the ice of my car (ugh), too many layers of clothes that I have never been able to combine in a flattering way (need fashion advice on winter survival, stat), having to face my fears of driving in the snow (nightmare), constantly chapped lips and dry hands and endlessly dark days with no sunshine to boost my morale…

Nope, I’m not a fan of winter. Thankfully, there is one bright side to winter and that is the joy of being able to curl up on the sofa, snuggled under a nice warm blanket, cup of hot cocoa nearby and a great book in your hands. Plus, some of my most anticipated books ever are being released this winter, so in a way, I’m also weirdly looking forward to it…

Without further ado, I present to you the books that I’m hoping to be the beautiful highlights of the next few wintery months…

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today I want to get a little more personal and meta and talk about some of the ways being a book blogger has changed my life. Now, I’m not talking HUGE changes. I didn’t gain a lot of money, quit my job and went to live on an island. I didn’t get so famous I can’t cross the street anymore without being recognized. I didn’t gain so much knowledge from reading that I’m now a genius mastermind who’s only days away from world domination (or am I?).

But that doesn’t mean my life hasn’t changed since before I was a book blogger. Even if it’s been only three years, there are definitely some changes that impacted my life, both my reading and online life, as my personal life, so why not talk about them?

Here are ten ways book blogging changed my life! *cue dramatic music*

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Normally today was reserved to talk about wintery reads, but honestly? I don’t have any particular wintery reads. In winter I often do like to re-read old favorites, but I didn’t feel like that warranted a post. Now, what I do love to do in winter more than any other season, is binge-watch short and addictive tv series.

You know, the kind of show that doesn’t have too many episodes, but just enough to get you hooked and looking forward to watching a new episode (or two, three) every evening with a cozy blanket and a hot chocolate. Here are some of my favorites!

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today I’d like to focus on one of my own weak spots when it comes to stories, and that is friendship. Because as much as I love a good romance, I think it’s equally important for a story to have great, epic friendships.

Great friendships can carry a story and warm the heart just as well, if not more so than a romance can. They are so important and usually books that feature friendships turn out to be some of my all time favorites. So that’s why today’s post features some of my favorite fictional BFF’s and friend groups. Let me know if you have any other recommendation for books featuring friendships!

Books, Music & More I’m Thankful For In 2018 {Top Ten Tuesday}

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s post is in honor of Thanksgiving in the US. While we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in Belgium, I do think it’s a nice idea to take a minute and think about everything we’re thankful for. So that’s the meaning of today’s post. To take a minute and reflect on the things that I’ve been thankful for in 2018.

Now, obviously I’m mostly thankful for the people and love in my life. My husband, my family and my friends. They mean the world. Buta post thanking them would end up being an incredibly mushy and sentimental post and since this is in fact a bookish blog, I instead decided to list some books and other forms of entertainment I am thankful for. Because cheesy as it sounds, I am thankful for these. They have helped me in so many ways, so I’m taking the time to spotlight them and tell you why I’m thankful. Let’s go!

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today is all about that bookish merchandise! Because us bookworms don’t just love books, we love the bookish merch as well. Mostly to look at and admire from afar, because with those precious funds book could be bought instead, but once in a while a splurge could occur and one of these fun bookish items could be purchased. Or even better, gifted, because is there any gift more fun to give and receive than bookish merch?

So for fun’s sake, here’s some of the bookish merch on my wishlist 🙂
