Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about childhood favorites, and boy did I enjoy taking a walk down memory lane. I forgot about some of these books until writing this post and writing it made me want to reread all of these though sadly I don’t own most of them anymore. Thinking about this list does confirm to me that I’ve ALWAYS been a reader and though book slumps may occur from time to time, I shouldn’t worry about them. This love of books has been going strong for 33 years and is obviously not going anywhere anytime soon 🙂 So for now, walk down memory lane with me as I present: my childhood favorites!

Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today is all about hidden gems and as I mentioned before – I am not that good at discovering hidden gems. Most books I read are ones that are highly hyped or at least recommended to me already by trusted blogger friends. I am working on this, but in the meantime I asked Goodreads for help. (What would we do without Goodreads?)

I basically checked the list of books I read and sorted them on the number of ratings they received. The first book on my list only received about 40 ratings, while the last one received about 2.600 ratings. Which is not a lot. (To give you an idea: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has 5.536.439 ratings to date)

So in conclusion: these books are great and deserve some more love!

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about the books I’d love to read with my future children. To be honest, my knowledge about children’s books is rather limited because A) I don’t have any kids yet so I’m not yet in the habit of reading children’s books with them and B) I myself mostly read books by Belgian authors as a kid which will probably not be that known to you. For those reasons I decided to broaden the age of those (hypothetical) children from kid to young adult and present you a list of books I’d want them to read for a variety of reasons.

Ten Books That Take Me Back To My School Days {Top Ten Tuesday}

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s topic is in honor of the new school year that’s about to start, so I thought I’d take the time to take a little trip down memory lane and tell you about some of the books that take me right back to my own school days. (Which weren’t THAT long ago, I promise…)

Maybe a little disclaimer before I start: these are not necessarily required reading books. In fact, I think most of them are books I read in my own time and had nothing to do with school. But they still bring back memories of my school days. More so than the books I read FOR SCHOOL, because honestly, I don’t remember much of those. And I have mixed opinions about required reading in general. I get that there are some books that are classics and must-reads, but I also think teaching kids the joy of reading is way more important and they should be given the option to read something THEY want as well.

With that said, let’s get into my list of books that take me back to school!
