The 2016 End of Year Book Survey

2016-end-of-year-book-survey

Hi guys! Since it’s the end of the year, I thought it would be fun to do a sort of survey summarizing the year. Because just listing my favorites does not seem enough somehow, and you know is pretty much impossible anyway

This survey is hosted by Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner. All banners below are also hers.

Let’s do this!

Fall Time Cozy Time Book Tag {Tag Thursday}

160920-fall-time-cozy-time-book-tag

Hi, and welcome to a new Tag Thursday!

Fall is by far and wide my FAVORITE season! I mean, spring and summer are ok too (winter is just evil and turns me into a big ball of sadness), but fall is AMAZING. I love the atmosphere so much. The world gets all these beautiful colors, the air turns crisp, the clothes turn cozy and there is magic in the air. Also, there’s Halloween! Have I mentioned I love Halloween already? If not, here’s my daily exclamation: Halloween rocks!

Anyway, since I’m completely in the fall mood, I really wanted to do a fall-themed tag. And thus was discovered: the Fall Time Cozy Time Book Tag!

160915-harry-potter-tag

Hi, and welcome to a new Tag Thursday!

I’ve been in a bit of a Harry Potter mood lately (It has been 5 months since my last movie marathon and 8 months since my last re-read), so why not remedy that by a fun tag? Any excuse to talk about Harry Potter right?

So here is the Ultimate Harry Potter Tag, with 30 questions on the books and movies. If you haven’t read or seen these, obviously there may be some spoilers.

(Also, I don’t know who originally created this tag, so if it was you, please let me know so I can credit you)

Hamilton Book Tag {Tag Thursday}

160901 Hamilton Book Tag

Hi guys and welcome to a new Tag Thursday!

I know I’m about a year late to the hype, but I’ve finally given in to the Hamilton craze. If you don’t know , Hamilton is a hip-hop musical about the life of Alexander Hamilton, who was one of The United States’ Founding Fathers.

Now, I resisted listening to the soundtrack for months, even though pretty much everybody and their dog were raving about it on social media. And then one day I was out of things to listen to, and I just decided to give it a shot. I listened to the soundtrack and thought ‘Meh… this is ok, I guess. Not really my thing though.’ But then the soundtrack came to the end and I pressed repeat. And then again. And again…

And now here we are. I listen to the soundtrack at least two-three times a week and one of my goals in life is to memorize all the words to all the lyrics. (And oh boy, there are a lot of words).

So what is the appeal of this musical? Personally, I just love the story. I didn’t think the story of an American politician living in the late 1700’s would be very interesting to me, but it is! It’s a story full of emotion: passion, drive, love, friendship, sadness, mourning, sacrifice and forgiveness. All the stuff I love in books,  put into amazing lyrics and to some catchy beats.

So why not mix two obsessions and do the Hamilton book tag? Let’s get to it!

Pokemon Go Book Tag {Tag Thursday}

Pokemon Go Book Tag

Welcome to a new Tag Thursday!

Today’s Tag is in honor of what I’ve been spending quite some time on lately: Pokemon Go. Now, I’ve always been a Pokemon fan. I watched the original tv series religiously, I loved the movies and I was addicted to the Game Boy games. Fun fact: I still have my old Game Boy and I still like to play those games from scratch once a year.

So yeah, I love Pokemon and I love the new Pokemon Go game. I especially love how it has brought Pokemon back into the lifes of so many people and reached some new fans as well. I love going out to catch Pokemon and seeing other people playing the game as well. It’s something that gets people outside and brings them together and I think that’s just amazing!

Of course, when I saw this tag done by Lauren @ Wonderless Reviews, I knew I just had to try it as well. So here it goes!

(The Pokemon Go tag was originally created by Aentee @ Read at Midnight (see her original post here.) I’m also using her graphics.)
