March 2019: The Month Audiobooks Saved My Reading Life {Monthly Wrap Up}

March 2019

Hi everybody, and welcome to my March wrap up!

Well, is it just me or did March really just fly by? With us having moved end of February, March has been a month of getting settled again. It’s amazing how much stuff needs to be done – we’ve been doing things pretty much every evening and weekend but there’s still so much to do. I haven’t even gotten started on alerting several institutions of my address change *oops*

With everything going on, I feel like my reading is suffering a lot. I read one physical book this month, and it was spread over an entire month. I just can’t seem to focus and if I try ty sit down and relax with a book I fall asleep before my chapter is even finished. SO YAY AUDIOBOOKS FOR SAVING THE DAY! When I started listening to audiobooks, I was worried about getting an Audible subscription since I wasn’t sure I could get to one audiobook a month. This month I listed to THREE. Not good for my finances, but my reading life is pretty happy…

Here’s what I’ve been up to this month:

February 2019: The Month I Disappeared, But Now I’m Back (Almost) {Monthly Wrap Up}

February 2019

Hi everybody, and welcome to my February wrap up!

This isn’t going to be a huge wrap-up because – as you may have noticed – my blog activity kind of fizzled to zero this month. This is because I finally moved into our new home at the end of February and the weeks before and after that have been a whirlwind of activities to still get done, like painting, cleaning, packing, moving, unpacking, etc. I hope that things have now settled back into normal enough for me to get back into blogging actively, but to be honest, it’s still going to be a gradual process, so please be patient with me, my sporadic posting and terrible commenting etiquette just a liiittle while longer.

For now  though, here’s my February wrap up!

January 2019: The Month Of BUSY But Also Exciting Things {Monthly Wrap Up}

January 2019

Hi everybody, and welcome to my January wrap up!

January usually takes forever, but this year it has really flown by. A lot of that has to do with the fact that A) we are in the final stages of renovating and moving in February, so things have been HECTIC and B) I started my new job, which added another level of excitement and busy to my life this month. As a result, I’ve been slacking in the blogging department again and I’m afraid this’ll still last into February and maybe even March. I’ll be around as much as I can, but please be patient with me and know posts and comments may be very sporadic for a while longer.

For now  though, here’s my January wrap up!

2019 Here I Come — My 2019 Bookish Resolutions

My 2019 Bookish Resolutions

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new blog post!

It’s become somewhat of a tradition to set some bookish resolutions every year. This starts with the typical Goodreads reading challenge of how many books I want to read and goes on to include many other (bookish) things. Last year, I just got out of a huge reading slump, so I wanted to keep it casual and kept my goals extra vague. I wanted to read more on a whim, read more diversely and read more backlist books. Did I reach those goals? Uhh, I guess so, but no way to really tell, of course. This year, I wanted to challenge myself with some actual measurable goals. Let’s do this!

November 2018

Hi everybody, and welcome to my November wrap up!

October 2018: The Month So Many Amazing New Releases Came Out So Of Course I Mostly Re-Read Old Favorites & Listened To One Song On Repeat {Monthly Wrap Up}

October 2018

Hi everybody, and welcome to my October wrap up!

AND ALSO, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Given my recent personal developments, I’ve still been a little M.I.A. this month, so again apologies to all my blogger friends! I’m hoping to catch up with all your blogs very, VERY soon. In the meantime, I’m hoping you’ll all have an amazing Halloween! Let me know how you’ll be spending today!

On the reading front not a whole lot of actual reading happened either, but there were some amazing releases this month and some of those I already started on, so that’s a definite plus. Musically, I continued my trend of listening to the same band over and over again and tv-wise… nothing at all happened.

So let’s just get into what I did do during the magical month of October!

September 2018: The Month Of Mages, The Good Place & Stray Kids {Monthly Wrap Up}

September 2018

Hi everybody, and welcome to my September wrap up!

September has been pretty hectic, which is why I barely read anything. I’ve been reading Mirage for like 3 weeks already, I just keep falling asleep after 2 pages (which has absolutely nothing to do with the book and everything to do with my exhaustion.)

We got the keys to our house, which means renovations have started. We’re doing quite a lot ourselves, so it is a LOT of work and though we were hoping to be finished and able to move in by December, it’s looking more like it’ll be February… or later still. Which sucks. Also, my mom has been having some health issues and is currently hospitalized (she should hopefully be able to go home end of the week though), so I’ve been running from our current home to our future home to the hospital and back constantly and I am exhausted.

I hope things settle back into a routine soon, but in the meantime please be patient with me while blogposts are sporadic and comment replies are SLOW.

Anyway, here’s my September wrap up!

New Home, New Adventures

New Home, New Adventures

Hi everybody!

As you may or may not know from my monthly wrap ups, after a very long search, my husband and I have bought a house. It took a few monts for the papers to get finalized, but this week we finally got the keys and the house is ours!

Before we can move in however, we do still have quite some renovations to do. And I’m talking big renovations – we need a new kitchen, new bathroom, new floors, new heating and new pipes among other things. (I’m also hoping to get my own little reading nook in, so you can imagine I’m excited about that!) So I’ll probably be extremely busy in the next few weeks or probably even months.

What does this mean for the blog? Well, for starters, I REALLY don’t want to take a hiatus. This blog and this community is kind of like my happy place and I don’t want to stay away from my happy place for too long. But I also have to be honest with myself – I have only few posts already scheduled and I already am behind on commenting and bloghopping (so sorry if I haven’t been by your blog in a while, I’m hoping to catch up soon). And since I will be occupied with the house and probably won’t have a ton of time, I will definitely need to cut down on my blogging time.

I promise I’ll do my best to still get some posts up and do some bloghopping, but please know that for the next few weeks, posts may be sporadic and comment replies may take a while.

Talk to you all soon!

August 2018: The Month of Villains, Gumihos & Loving Yourself {Monthly Wrap Up}

August 2018 Wrap Up

Hi everybody, and welcome to my August wrap up!

August has been good – the weather has cooled off and the month has seemed to fly by faster because of it. I did manage to read a few good books, but highlights this month definitely happened on the music and movie front (Gee, what could it be? This is not predictable AT ALL…) Oh, and I got accepted for my first blog tour for one of my favorite authors so I’m pretty pleased overall <3
