My Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2022

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday! Also, happy New Year everyone!

With a new year comes the fun anticipation of all the new bookish releases there are to look forward to. And it looks like 2022 is again jam-packed with great releases. Here are the 12 I’m most looking forward to (for the first half of 2022):

New Releases

The Long-Forgotten Winter King by Annette Marie

Release date: 14 January 2022

It’s no secret how much I love anything Annette Marie writes, but seriously I am beyond excited for the next installment in the Guild Codex: Unveiled series because I NEED more Zak and Saber.

Electric Idol by Katee Robert

Release date: 18 January 2022

Part two in this Dark Olympus dark romance series is an Eros/Psyche retelling and I am so here for it!

Running Wild by K.A. Tucker

Release date: 25 January 2022

I fell in love with The Simple Wild and Wild at Heart by K.A. Tucker in 2021 and while this next release will focus on veterinarian Marie instead of Callah and Jonah, I’m still so excited to return to Alaska and see how everyone’s doing.

House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas

Release date: 15 February 2022

Another anticipated sequel! House of Earth and Breath was easily one of my favorite 2020 reads and I’m so excited for the sequel (though I’m thinking a re-read may be needed first, because my memory is awful)

The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Release date: 15 March 2022

I adore the world of From Blood and Ash and I’m so excited for the fourth book in the series (though again, my memory is awful so maybe I should do a re-read of some kind before picking this one up)

The No-Show by Beth O’Leary

Release date: 12 April 2022

Beth O’Leary has become an auto-buy author for me and though it seems like this one will be quite different from her previous “rom-coms with depth” like The Flatshare or The Switch, I’m sure it will be utterly brilliant. I already can’t wait to find out what’s going on with this Joseph Carter guy.

The Romantic Agenda by Claire Kann

Release date: 12 April 2022

An adult fiction book by Claire Kann. With ace rep. And fake dating. I AM SO IN!

Book of Night by Holly Black

Release date: 3 May 2022

A dark adult fantasy book by Holly Black featuring shadow magic? YES, PLEASE!

Never Been Kissed by Timothy Janovsky

Release date: 3 May 2022

This just sounds like such a fun, feel-good summer read and I am already so excited to read it!

Book Lovers by Emily Henry

Release date: 3 May 2022

So you’re saying that the next Emily Henry book (the author of Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation, both of which were amazing reads) is a bookish story about a romance between a literary agent and an editor? WHY IS MAY 2022 SO FAR AWAY??

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston

Release date: 3 May 2022

I’m here for Casey McQuiston’s books and I’m hoping I Kissed Shara Wheeler will be another feel-good queer rom-com with amazing found family vibes.

Something Wilder by Christina Lauren

Release date: 17 May 2022

I will always be excited for any new Christina Lauren release as they always end up on my yearly favorites lists, so I have high hopes for this second-chance romance.
