20220125 Favorite New-To-Me Authors Discovered in 2021

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today we’re talking about new (to us) authors we discovered in 2021! I actually read quite a few new-to-me authors, but for this list I only selected my top authors. I enjoyed their books in 2021 and will definitely be keeping a lookout for new or backlist works by them in the future!

Laura Thalassa

I started off 2021 by reading the entire Bargainer trilogy and while I did not love books 2 and 3, I ADORED book 1 so so much and I’ll definitely need to check out more by this author.

Angie Hockman

I only read Shipped by Angie Hockman this year, but I highly enjoyed this rom-com and am looking forward to more.

K.A. Tucker

I’m late to the K.A. Tuckers and The Simple Wild train, but they’re all-time favorites now. I love Calla and Jonah and Alaska so much that I’m a little hesitant to try other stories by K.A. Tucker, but I’m sure I’ll love those stories just as much.

Everina Maxwell

Winter’s Orbit was Everina’s debut and I highly enjoyed it. Her next book, Ocean’s Echo, will take place in the same world, so I’m already eager to dive in!

Rosie Danan

I binged both The Roommate and The Intimacy Experiment this year and LOVED both!

F.T. Lukens

In Deeper Waters was such a fun and feel-good fantasy romance so I hope to experience more stories by F.T. Lukens in 2022. I’m already super excited for So This Is Ever After.

Raven Kennedy

I read 7 books by Raven Kennedy this year, so I think it’s safe to say she’s my number one new-to-me author from 2021. I LOVED her Plated Prisoner series (check out my review of the series so far) as well as her hilarious Heart Hassle series (check out my review of the series here)

Katee Robert

I dipped my toe into the world of dark romance this year with Katee Robert’s Neon Gods, a Hades/Persephone retelling, and really enjoyed it. I’m already excited for the next book in this world called Electric Idol and then perhaps I’ll try some more Katee Robert dark romance books.

Axie Oh

As a kpop and kdrama fan, Axie Oh’s XOXO hit all the right spots. And her upcoming book, The Girl Who Fell Beneath The Sea, also sounds so amazing already.

Alison Cochrun

The Charm Offensive is one of my favorite reads of 2021! I loved the story of Dev and Charlie and will definitely be keeping an eye on anything this author releases in the future.

Ali Hazelwood

You couldn’t escape the hype that was The Love Hypothesis in 2021, and yet the hype was so very well deserved! I loved it so much.
