Questions I Would Ask My Favorite Authors

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s about questions I would ask my favorite authors. I decided to go the more general route and go with questions I’d ask to any of my favorite authors, not just any in particular. I know some of these questions are not very original and authors probably get asked them a lot, but these questions still really intrigue me and it’s what I’m most curious about anyway.

Concerning their writing process:

How does a day in the life look like for you when you are writing a book? Does this look very different now than when you wrote your first book? (maybe you were still working full-time at something else than?)

What is your writing process like? Has it changed between your first book and your latest book? Does it change between books or does it stay the same?

What is the most difficult part of the writing process for you?

What’s the weirdest thing you had to Google for book research?

Where did you come up with the idea for your books?

Do you have the ending all planned out from the beginning, and if so, does it sometimes change along the way?

Do you create book playlists? (and if yes, can I follow them on Spotify?)

Do you create book aesthetics or Pinterest boards?

Concerning their bookish preferences:

Who are your favorite authors?

What’s one book or book series you would take on a deserted island with you?

Who is your favorite character from your own books? Who is your favorite character from other books?

What is your favorite trope to read / to write?

What is your least favorite trope to read / to write?

Tell Me:
What questions would you ask your favorite authors?

Lindsey xoxo

  3. Ooh, I like the question on if the ending is planned out from the beginning. It would be interesting to know if they were always working towards a specific endpoint or if it just came about as the story unfolded.
