Top Ten Tuesday

Authors I’ve Read The Most Books By (AKA The Least Shocking List of the Century)

20200730 Authors I've read the most books by

Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hi everybody, and welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today’s all about the authors we’ve read the most books by, and turns out… I’m incredibly predictable. This list will not shock anyone, I’m sure 😉

So below is a list of authors I’ve read at least 6 books by and truthfully, most of these are because of series. Also, they’ve all been authors I’ve been following for years, so perhaps given some more time, some other authors will be added to my list of fame…

Annette Marie

Is anyone surprised by this one? I love anything Annette Marie writes and she delivers multiple books a year so it’s pretty easy to read a lot of books by her quickly. I have to admit that I haven’t read them all, as I haven’t read all of the novellas but that’s just because I am not a fan of novellas most of the time…

Red Winter series:

Red Winter
Dark Tempest
Immortal Fire

Steel and Stone series:

Chase the Dark
Bind the Soul
Yield the Night
Reap the Shadows
Unleash the Storm
Steel & Stone Companion Collection

Spellweaver series:

The Night Realm
The Shadow Weave
The Blood Curse

The Guild Codex: Spellbound

Three Mages and a Margarita
Dark Arts and a Daiquiri
Two Witches and a Whiskey
Demon Magic and a Martini
The Alchemist and an Amaretto
Druid Vices and a Vodka

The Guild Codex: Demonized

Taming Demons for Beginners
Slaying Monsters for the Feeble
Hunting Fiends for the Ill-Equipped

Sarah J. Maas

Sarah J. Maas is one of those authors that gets a lot of both hate and love, and though I understand her writing is not perfect, I still have to say I ADORE her books and I haven’t yet read any that I haven’t loved.

Throne of Glass series:

The Assassin’s Blade
Throne of Glass
Crown of Midnight
Heir of Fire
Queen of Shadows
Empire of Storms
Tower of Dawn
Kingdom of Ash

ACOTAR series:

A Court of Thorns and Roses
A Court of Mist and Fury
A Court of Wings and Ruin
A Court of Frost and Starlight

Crescent City series:

House of Earth and Blood

Other:

Catwoman: Soulstealer

Cassandra Clare

Honestly, I don’t think there have already been too many Shadowhunter books. Though I’m not a fan of the final three Mortal Instruments books, as long as her books keep reaching the level of amazingness that is the Infernal Devices or Dark Artifices, I will read them! (Again, I have not read any of the novellas or spin-off thingies, but that’s because I’m not a novella/spin-off person)

The Mortal Instruments:

City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass
City of Fallen Angels
City of Lost Souls
City of Heavenly Fire

The Infernal Devices:

Clockwork Angel
Clockwork Prince
Clockwork Princess

The Dark Artifices:

Lady Midnight
Lord of Shadows
Queen of Air and Darkness

Rick Riordan

I am waaaaay behind on Rick Riordan series. I know there are so many more amazing books to discover, but rest assured I will get to all of them eventually.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians:

The Lightning Thief
The Sea of Monsters
The Titan’s Curse
The Battle of the Labyrinth
The Last Olympian

The Heroes of Olympus:

The Lost Hero
The Son of Neptune
The Mark of Athena
The House of Hades
The Blood of Olympus

Leigh Bardugo

Huh, is there really only one book set outside the Grishaverse that I’ve read by Bardugo? But seeing how much I LOVED Ninth House, I’m pretty confident Leigh Bardugo is an auto-buy author, Grishaverse or not.

Shadow and Bone:

Shadow and Bone
Siege and Storm
Ruin and Rising

Six of Crows:

Six of Crows
Crooked Kingdom

Nikolai:

King of Scars

More Grishaverse:

The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic

Alex Stern series:

Ninth House

J.K. Rowling

Given Rowling’s recent transphobic comments I feel a little iffy about including these, but the Harry Potter series will always be a classic favorite for me, even if I don’t, won’t and can’t support J.K Rowling any more.

The Harry Potter series:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Christina Lauren

Again, an author (well, authors) I still have so many more books to discover by, but I can’t wait to try them all!

Roomies
Autoboyography
Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating
My Favorite Half-Night Stand
The Unhoneymooners
Twice in a Blue Moon

Tell Me:
What’s the author you’ve read the most books by?

  1. Despite the fact that I’ve owned Six of Crows for years, I still haven’t read anything by Leigh Bardugo. Hoping I remedy this soon as she’s one of the most popular authors I see on lists and the like. 🙂

    1. Hi. Hello. Randomly dropping by to say- same girl!!

    2. Haha, I have those kinds of books on my shelves too so don’t worry 😉 Hope you’ll enjoy Leigh Bardugo books when you get to them!

  2. Among your list, we only have Cassandra Clare in common! And JK Rowling. I do think I need to go on a Leigh Bardugo binge as well! 😀

    1. Oh, I hope you’ll have a great Leigh Bardugo binge 🙂

  4. I’m not at all surprised that Annette Marie is at the top 😀

    1. I am a little predictable like that, but it’s okay haha 🙂

  5. I’ve read a few books by Riordan, but I’ve never actually finished a series by him!

    1. I love his books, but so many series can get a little intimidating 🙂

  6. While I count a couple by Christina Lauren as favorites (Autoboyography, Love and Other Words, Josh & Hazel), I’ve still only read 6 or 7 by them so they didn’t quite make my list this week.

    1. Oh I understand, I haven’t read that many by them yet either, but still more than other authors 🙂

  7. Sarah J maas and Cassandra Clare are on my list too and I am now on the right path to read most if not all of Annette marie’s books!

    1. I’m so happy to hear you’re on an Annette Marie binge! Hope you’ll love all of them 🙂

  8. OMG, I’m shocked to see Annette Marie on your list, lol! Kidding of course. 🙂 Sarah J. Maas and Leigh Bardugo made my list this week too, and there are several on your list, including Annette Marie, where I know my numbers are going to climb in the future because I love what I’ve read so far from them and can’t wait to read more.

    1. Haha, I could totally understand how you’d be shocked though, it’s not like I rave about her books a lot… oh wait, I do *oops* 😀
Yeah, this list will definitely change, as other authors release series and books I love, so it’ll be interesting to check this list again in a few years.
