Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

What is this? Lindsey is back with a new Top Ten Tuesday? That’s right, I’m baaack!

After having spent all my free time for the past 6 or so months on our home renovations and moving, I am happy to say I have finally moved and am settled in, and though not everything is done yet, I do really hope to be able to get back to a regular blogging routine now. AND reading routine, because I MISS BOOKS! Luckily, there are SO MANY glorious spring releases to get me excited and respark that reading love.

Here are the ten upcoming releases I’m looking forward to the most!

Demon Magic and a Martini by Annette Marie

Release date: April 12

It wouldn’t be a list for me if it didn’t contain any Annette Marie book, now would it? The Guild Codex series has been really surprising me so far, so I have high hopes for book four!

The Bride Test by Helen Hoang

Release date: May 7

I fell in love with The Kiss Quotient in 2018 and if this second novel is even almost as good, I’ll be happy. Yay for #ownvoices Autism rep AND sexy romance!

We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal

Release date: April 14

This #ownvoices YA fantasy, set in a richly reimagined ancient Arabia, follows Zafira—a young woman who masquerades as a man to seek a lost artifact that could return magic to her cursed world—and the Prince of Death tasked with killing her. I mean, is there a single word in this description that I do not like? Ancient Arabia + woman masquerading as a man + magic + Prince of Death = I WANT IT!

If I’m Being Honest by Emily Wibberly and Austin Siegemund-Broka

Release date: April 23

All I needed were the words ‘inspired by ‘Ten Things I Hate About You”. And of course ‘Taming of the Shrew’, but really all I hear is Ten Things I Hate About You. Reminder that I still need to read this duo’s previous novel as well!

Aurora Rising by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufmann

Release date: May 7

“They’re not the heroes we deserve. They’re just the ones we could find. Nobody panic.”
Misfits in space. Misfits in space! Misfits in space!!

The Candle and the Flame by Nafiza Azad

Release date: May 14

The cover drew me in and the fact that it’s a historical, feminist fantasy set along the Silk Road is what sold it to me.

Red White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Release date: May 14

Come one, it’s an enemies-to-lovers story where the First Son falls in love with the Prince of Wales. It sounds AMAZING!

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

Release date: May 14

Enemies-to-lovers on a honeymoon, written by my favorite writer duo? Be still my beating heart.

Fake It Till You Break It by Jenn P. Nguyen

Release date: June 18

More enemies-to-lovers (does it show I have a favorite trope?). Oh and this one even has the fake dating trope, so it’s like all my favorites combined!

Wicked Fox by Kat CHo

Release date: June 25

This story is set in modern-day Seoul and based on the Korean myth of the gumiho, a nine-tailed fox, which has some similarities to the Japanese kitsune. I’m already obsessed with kitsunes, but a books about a gumiho? YES, PLEASE!

I can’t wait for Wicked Fox! And The Candle and the Flame is one of the book I hope to read this spring as well, something that is advertised as Silk Road fantasy and has that cover has to be good.
    Great list!

Thank you Marie! I’m happy to be back 🙂
I’ll definitely try to read Always Never Yours before If I’m Being honest comes out, just because it’s been on my TBR for far TOO LONG already 🙂

Aurora Rising and Red, WHite and Royal Blue sound so good! I hope they’ll live up to all our expectations.

So glad you’ve settled in, Lindsey. Hope you’re enjoying this new space. Also, WELCOME back to the blog-y world. 🙂

Hope you enjoy ALL of these! ‘Fake It’ sounds super cute, and is definitely one I’d like to add to my shelf/TBR. Happy spring TBR-ing, and thanks so much for the Finding Wonderland visit last week.
