Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday!

Today was all about backlist books I haven’t read yet, and well, since I’m so terribly behind on books and can’t keep up with my TBR to save my life, I thought it would be fun (haha, fun) to check out some of the books that were on my winter TBR, spring TBR, summer TBR and fall TBR posts for 2018 and I STILL haven’t read.

Join me for another walk of shame and feel free to tell me I really need to get to these soon πŸ˜‰

FROM MY WINTER TBR:

Ruined by Amy TinteraΒ Godsgrave by Jay KristoffΒ Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco

RUINED BY AMY TINTERA

Haha, this has been on every TBR I ever made. But now that all three books in the trilogy are out, I guess I can binge!

GODSGRAVE BY JAY KRISTOFF

Nevernight was awesome! Thus, Godsgrave is a must. And yay for more revenge plots!

HUNTING PRINCE DRACULA BY KERRI MANISCALCO

After reading and loving Stalking Jack The Ripper, I am super curious about the sequel and impatient to be reunited with one of my fave sleuthing duos!

FROM MY SPRING TBR:

Sky in the Deep by Adrienne YoungΒ Smoke in the Sun by Renee AhdiehΒ A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir

SKY IN THE DEEP BY ADRIENNE YOUNG

Viking warriors, a badass heroine, and do I sense an enemies-to-lovers storyline? That + rave ARC reviews = I NEED IT NOW. Except I’ve been needing it now for a few months already *oops*

SMOKE IN THE SUN (FLAME IN THE MIST #2) BY RENEE AHDIEH

I had a few mixed feelings about book one, but I still CAN’T WAIT to dive back into this world. (Haha, she said months ago, so obviously she CAN wait…)

A REAPER AT THE GATES (AN EMBER IN THE ASHES #3) BY SABAA TAHIR

Truthfully, though this has been my most anticipated release of the year, I’m thinking I want to wait a bit longer to read so I can binge (re-)read the entire series in time for the release of the final book.

FROM MY SUMMER TBR:

From Twinkle With Love by Sandhya MenonΒ The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene GooΒ Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley

FROM TWINKLE WITH LOVE BY SANDHYA MENON

I loved When Dimple Met Rishi so I’m looking forward to reading this new Sandhya Menon book!

THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL BY MAURENE GOO

A prankster main character and enemies-to-friends? Yes, please.

ALWAYS NEVER YOURS BY EMILY WIBBERLEY AND AUSTIN SIEGEMUND-BROKA

This just sounds too cute and fluffy.

FROM MY FALL TBR:

These are fairly new releases so I am not really that behind on reading these though I still hope to read them before the year is over.

Wildcard by Marie LuΒ Vengeful by V.E. SchwabΒ Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa

WILDCARD BY MARIE LU

I need more Emika and I need more Hideo and I need more Warcross and I need it now! It’s on my shelf, I just need to get started.

VENGEFUL BY V.E. SCHWAB

I got this for my birthday so you better believe I’ll be diving in soon.

SHADOW OF THE FOX BY JULIE KAGAWA

As you all may know from my frequent Red Winter ravings, I love Japanese mythology. So this sounds right up my alley.

Tell Me:
Have you read any of these already? If so, tell me if you loved them and think I should just dive in already!

  1. Lol I’ve wanted to read some of Amy Tintera’s books too for a while and NEVER have. I don’t even know why! And same here w/ Wildcard- I need to just READ it. I did like Sky in the Deep, and hope you do too!

    1. Haha, yeah it’s ridiculous how long I’ve been wanting to read Ruined and yet haven’t started it. I did finally pick up Wildcard this week so there’s hope πŸ™‚

  2. I really want to read From Twinkle With Love. It looks so cute! Wonderful list. I hope you get to catch up with these books soon.

    1. It does seem adorable <3

  3. I need to read Hunting Prince Dracula AND Escaping Houdini. UGHHH. I hate when I get behind on a series and it’s been 2 years since I read the first one, so I don’t remember THAT much. It always makes it hard for me to jump back i πŸ™

I hope you get to read some of these soon!!

    1. I so know what you mean, it’s why I usually prefer binge-reading… Hope you’ll get to them soon though!

  4. Great list! Kerri Maniscalco, RenΓ©e Ahdieh and Julie Kagawa are all authors I need to try. I hope you enjoy these when you get to them!

    1. Thanks! I hope you’ll love all those authors as well!

  5. I actually haven’t read any of these, so hopefully that makes you feel better, haha! I still need to read An Ember in the Ashes, which I made a post about earlier this week: <a href="http://rosieoverstreet.com/fantasy-books-i-havent-read-yet/"fantasy books I still haven't read! Honestly I haven’t done a lot of reading at all this year because of having a baby, but here’s hoping we get lots of reading done before the end of the year! Cheers!

    1. Having a baby seems like a great reason not to read as much, congrats! Hope you’ll be able to read some soon though πŸ™‚

  6. I really liked Warcross. I thought I would have read the sequel by now. But other books have gotten in the way. Will I ever get around to Wildcard?

    1. I finally started Wildcard this week, so I’ll hope you’ll get around to it soon as well πŸ™‚

  7. I haven’t read any of these either! I REALLY want to read Ruined, The Sky in the Deep, Shadow of the Fox and The Way You Make Me Feel. THEY LOOK SO GOOD.

    My TTT post!

    1. They do look so good! Hope we’ll both get to them soon!

  8. Soooo many good books here. I looove Godsgrave, A Reaper at the Gates, and Wildcard. But I can’t wait to see your thoughts on all of these.

2018 has been a weird year for me in regards to read, I have barely read anything this year.

    Thanks for sharing,

    1. I’m happy to hear you loved all these books – I can’t wait to read them myself πŸ™‚
I hope 2019 will be better for you readingwise and you’ll have lots of amazing books to read!

  9. I hope you love HPD!! <3

    1. Thanks!

  10. Hunting Prince Dracula is on my list, too!

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. Hope we’ll both get to Hunting Prince Dracula soon!

  11. I recently got my hands on Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa and I’m really excited to read it!!! I actually have a lot of Julie Kagawa’s books on my TBR but I haven’t read any of them yet XD

With An Ember in the Ashes, I’ve taken to buying them/pre-ordering them when they come out and then not reading them. The first book left on such a cliffhanger and I know that it’s only going to break me further if I keep reading without the final book close by. So, I’m just waiting till the final book is closer to being released and then. Then I will binge the whole series too!
I hope you get to all these books soon!!!
    Happy Reading!!! <3

    1. Hope we both get to Shadow of the Fox soon! And yes, we seem to have the same ideas about the Ember in the Ashes series… binge-reading it will be! πŸ˜‰

  12. You must read Hunting Prince Dracula! I love that series. I also need to read Vengeful. πŸ™‚

    -Lauren

    1. Yes, I’m totally hoping to get Hunting Prince Dracula (and maybe even Escaping Houdini) as a Christmas present this year! Hope we’ll both get to Vengeful soon πŸ™‚

  13. I have read Godsgrave and Sky in the Deep and I loved both of them! I would definitely recommend them! Vicious and Shadow of the Fox are on my TBR right now!

    1. So glad to hear you loved them! I hope to get to them soon. Hope you’ll enjoy Vicious, I LOVED it πŸ™‚

  14. I really need to read Godsgrave too! I loved Nevernight so much. I don’t know why I haven’t read it yet. I don’t think I’ll be able to get to it before the end of this year so it’s definitely a goal for next year!

    1. Hope we’ll both get to Godsgrave soon! I put it on the list to read this year still, but actually I already packed it up in preparation for moving… which I’m planning for March or something… so I don’t think I’ll make it either but as soon as I unpack it I’ll be ready to start reading! πŸ˜€

  15. I’ve read Wildcard, Smoke in the Sun, and A Reaper at the Gates. They are probably on my list of top ten books I read this year, although Smoke in the Sun makes it to the list by virtue of the fact that I group together series when I read them both in the same year, and Flame in the Mist was much better IMO.

Every time I look at the Goodreads top YA books of 2018, I keep thinking I need to read Sky in the Deep. I’m sure I’ll get to it at some point. Shadow of the Fox is another book I would like to read someday.

    1. I’ve heard a lot of people say they didn’t think Smoke in the Sun was as good as Flame in the Mist, that’s a pity! Still hope to read it though, so I can conclude the series πŸ™‚
Hope we’ll both get to Sky in the Deep soon!

  16. So many of these are still on my TBR as well. Godsgrave is one I definitely need to stop putting off.

    1. Same here! Hope we’ll both get to Godsgrave soon-ish πŸ™‚

  17. ALWAYS NEVER YOURS! I loveed this book so, so very much, it was such a sweet, adorable fluffy read. I hope you’ll get to read it soon πŸ˜€

    1. Ahh yes, it sounds so cute, I’m thinking of saving it for the Christmas holidays, it sounds like the perfect read for then πŸ™‚

  18. I loved Hunting Prince Dracula. Audrey Rose and Thomas are one of my favourite duos ever. I love all the flirting and battering. I’m hoping to read Sky in the Deep before the year ends – if not, it will be one of my first readings of 2019.

    Happy readings! πŸ˜‰

    1. Yes, I loved them so much in Stalking Jack the Ripper, so I hope to revisit them soon in the sequels!
