Hi everybody and welcome to a new Quote It Wednesday!

Today’s quote is from a lovely book called Tell Me Three Things by Julie Buxbaum.  It’s a YA contemporary that has a delicious pen pal romance that drew my attention first of all, but it also delves into some deeper issues that our main character faces. The quote above relates to some of those issues and it really resonated with me too.

This quote made me think about what constitutes a perfect day for me and what some of my past perfect days had in common. And honestly, I think I have small, realizable dreams because it doesn’t take all that much for a day to be perfect for me: just good company and feeling appreciated, loved and comfortable. Bonus points if there is a great story in book or TV format included.

And honestly, the nostalgic part of me (and that’s a very huge part of me as I am super nostalgic) was provably attracted to this quote because in a way, memories are only made more beautiful because they can’t be recreated but were these little unique moments that you’ll never be able to relive.

All in all, this quote just made me think and I love that about quotes!

Are you a nostalgic person? Do you believe in perfect days and if yes, what’s a perfect day for you?

  1. Lovely quote from a book that I have on my TBR for a long time now! And yes the secret is in small moments (ike me this morning walking my dog early in the peaceful countryside) and past moments always seem better.

    1. That sounds like a perfect morning indeed! You’re right, the secret is definitely in the small moments. And I hope you’ll enjoy this book when you get to it 🙂

  2. I haven’t read this book, but this quote is wonderful! I’m definitely a nostalgic person. I’m not sure what a PERFECT day would be, but I do think there are days in your life where things just seem to go right and you feel content/happy.

  3. I think I’m a nostalgic person – I love making photo albums so I can try to relive all those fun and beautiful days!

  4. I’m a pretty nostalgic person as well and when I think about a perfect day, it’s usually something pretty simple like spending the day with my son doing something fun, just the two of us.

    1. I think it’s great when the simple things really make a day perfect 🙂
