Book List: Most Anticipated Reads of 2016

With a new year come a lot of new releases. These are the ones I am most excited about:

Passenger

    1. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
      Expected publication January 5th 2016

It has timetravel, pirates and it’s written by Alexandra Bracken. I’m sold.

      Truthwitch

    2. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
      Expected publication January 5th 2016

Even though I was not that big a fan of Susan Dennard’s other series (so sorry!), this world just seems so interesting and I am already sure I will love it.

      The Shadow Queen

    3. The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
      Expected publication January 16th 2016

It has princes and princesses, magic and evil queens. That’s pretty much all things I love in a story.

The Love That Split The World

    4. The Love that Split the World by Emily Henry
      Expected publication January 26th 2016

The cover is gorgeous, the cover blurb is intriguing but what really sold me on this book is this sentence: “[It] perfectly captures those bittersweet months after high school, when we dream not only of the future, but of all the roads and paths we’ve left untaken.

      Starflight

    5. Starflight by Melissa Landers
      Expected publication February 2nd 2016

      Sci-fi romance. Yes, please!

      Assassin's Heart

    6. Assassin’s Heart by Sarah Ahiers
      Expected publication February 2nd 2016

A kingdom with nine rival assassin families and a Romeo and Juliet-like romance. I love assassins. I love romance. Sounds like a winner to me.

      Glass Sword

    7. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
      Expected publication: February 9th 2016

Red Queen was one of my favorite reads of 2015. I was already eager to read the next part in the series then, and my excitement has only grown in the meantime.
      Riders

    8. Riders by Veronica Rossi
      Expected publication February 16th 2016

The Through The Ever Night series by Veronica Rossi is one of my all-time favorite series, so of course I want to ready anything new she publishes. But the fact that it’s about the horsemen of the apocalypse has really sold me.

      Lady Midnight

    9. Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
      Expected publication: March 8th 2016

I loved the Immortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. So any trip back to the world of the shadowhunters is very welcome!

      The Great Hunt

    10. The Great Hunt by Wendy Higgins
      Expected publication March 8th 2016

Kill the beast. Win the girl. An evil beast rules the land and whoever kills it wins the princess’ hand in marriage. No need to deny it, I will probably devour this book.

A Court of Mist and Fury

    11. A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
      Expected publication May 3rd 2016

Sarah J. Maas is my favorite author at the moment. A Court of Thorns and Roses was one of my favorite reads of 2015. I want more Feyre and more Rhys. This one is a given.

      The Rose and the Dagger

    12. The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh
      Expected publication: May 3rd 2016

Inspired by A Thousand and One Nights, The Wrath and the Dawn was such a beautiful and richly told story that the sequel can only be equally gorgeous.

      A Torch Against The Night

    13. A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
      Expected publication August 30th 2016

An Ember in the Ashes had me gripped from page 1 until the end. I need this sequel so much it hurts to wait for so much longer.

      Throne of Glass 5

    14. Throne of Glass 5 by Sarah J. Maas
      Expected publication: September 6th 2016

Sarah J. Maas + Throne of Glass series + badass female character + all-time favorite = another given.

    15. Falling Kingdoms 5 by Morgan Rhodes
      Expected publication sometime 2016

This series is insane. Death, love, betrayal, magic, gods and more follow eachother on every page. At the rate this series is going, I have no idea how it will end and I love it.
